How to get here

Train: Berkhamsted station is on the London Midland line from Birmingham to Euston. The station is adjacent to the castle site.

Road: Take the A4251 into Berkhamsted, then follow signs to the station.

Bus: Arriva operates frequent services between Watford and Aylesbury (No 500) or between Hemel and Northchurch (No 32), stopping in the High Street. More information here

 

Facilities

Access for disabled is reasonable, though there are some steep slopes on site.

Parking: some spaces adjacent to the site, or town car parks are within walking distance

Shop: None

Toilets: None

Picnics: Yes, but no shelter

The Room will be open again for Bank Holiday weekend  on Saturday 22-Mar

and thereafter

from 3-May until

end Sep 10am- 4pm
